An Outstanding James I Oak Long Table
The thick three plank top, supported on a substantial base of four deeply chamfered legs, joined at the top by an arabesque carved frieze, and at the bottom by heavy square stretchers, with a scratch run moulding on the top surface. Beautifully pegged throughout, with large oak dowels, the table is in an untouched condition and the most amazing rich colour and surface.
English, probably Southern, circa 1615.
